THE DHANANJAYANS RECEIVED THE GD BIRLA INTERNATIONAL AWARD & PURSE The G.D.Birla Award instituted by the Birla Academy of Arts & Culture, were presented in New Delhi on Monday the 21st June 210.  H.E.Vice President of India Dr.Hamid Ansari presented the Citation and 5 lakhs cheque to Sri. V.P.Dhananjayan for the couple's outstanding contribution in the field of India's Cultural Heritage.  The Chair Person of the Academy Smt.Sarala Birla and her husband Basant Kumar Birla are seen in the pictures.  The other awardees who received the honour and similar purse - Mrs.Zkhumi Vankung for her contribution in the field of service to Humanity and Ms. Leni Soderberg received the award on behalf of Dr.Percy Barnevik for his immense contribution in the field of rural upliftment in Tamizhnaadu through the international organization Hand in hand.
